Funded Projects
The Belin Foundation provides grants to many of the Kansas nonprofits Oscar F. and Susie Belin supported during their lifetimes, as well as to other organizations that promote education, human services and community development. The Foundation primarily funds projects in Sedgwick and Clay counties — the places Oscar and Susie called home.

Exploration Place EP2 Initiative
Exploration Place in Wichita inspires interest in STEM through creative and fun experiences for people of all ages. The EP2 Initiative transformed the acreage surrounding the science center into a world-class destination attraction for education, community-building and family fun. The Belin Foundation was happy to contribute to the initiative, which built a 1,500-capacity riverfront amphitheater and the thrilling 6-acre Adventure Playscape.
About Exploration Place
Freedom Hooves Therapeutic Riding Center “Hope in Motion” Campaign
Changing lives, one ride at a time! Freedom Hooves helps people of all ages with disabilities through equine-assisted therapies. They also offer programs for at-risk youth. With a long waiting list for riders, the organization needs room to grow. The Belin Foundation is a proud contributor to the Hope in Motion Capital Campaign, which will build a new, larger ADA-accessible facility on 40 acres — able to support the additional staff and horses needed to expand services.

Scholarships
Oscar and Susie highly valued education and encouraged the pursuit of knowledge and growth. The Belin Foundation funds generous scholarships for Clay Center Community High School seniors (the Belins’ alma mater), for students attending Wichita State University, and for law students at the University of Kansas and Washburn University in conjunction with Bever Dye, LC (Oscar’s old law firm).
“A Mural Movement” Project
A Mural Movement enriches Clay County, Kansas, through the power of public art. From Clay Center to Longford, dozens of murals bring vibrant color to shared spaces while supporting artists, celebrating community pride, and attracting visitors. Grants from the Belin Foundation help create and preserve inspiring works of art in the Belins’ home county.
